November 12, 2009 toAt Mrs. Dalloway's Party
The magic of
Word for Word comes to Saint Mary's this fall in a production of At Mrs. Dalloway's
Party, an evening of short stories written by Virgina Woolf and created and
performed by an ensemble of actors. Woolf's innovative "stream of consciousness"
narrative is captured at a party thrown by the famous Mrs. Dalloway. Wry observations
and elegant prose come to life onstage through some of Woolf's most amusing
characters-ordinary women and men whose anxious thoughts and social predicaments make
this party a night to remember.
Directed by guest artist Delia MacDougall, who is a founding member of Word for Word Performing Arts Company in San Francisco. She has performed with the California Shakespeare Festival, ACT, Berkeley Rep, and The Magic Theater.
