Scott and Amy (Brandt) Leykam '96 welcomed their second son, Tyler Richard Leykam, born on Jan. 16, 2008. He is a delight to older brother, Austin. In May, Scott was named the associate commissioner for external relations of the West Coast Conference responsible for coordinating television partnerships, media relations, licensing, corporate sponsorships, marketing and branding of the WCC and its member institutions. Scott previously worked for Stanford Hospital and Clinics and as Stanford's director of athletic annual giving. He teaches a sports journalism course for SMC's Communication Department. |

John Koller married Elaine McKay in April at St. Dominic's Church in San Francisco. After the honeymoon, John, who has worked 10 years for Sony PlayStation, was promoted to director of hardware marketing. He is responsible for marketing the PlayStation 3, PSP and PlayStation 2 in North America. Elaine is the weather and traffic anchor for KRON-4 TV in San Francisco on the 4 p.m., 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. nightly newscasts. John and Elaine live in San Mateo with their dog, Cooper. |

| Jesse J. Ortega Montenegro and his wife, Anna (Gonzalez) Ortega '96, bought their dream home in the Deer Ridge Country Club in Brentwood. They are active in the sports teams and education of their sons, Adán, Samuel and Andrew. Jesse was the 2008-09 Teacher of the Year for the Liberty Union School District and will represent the district at the annual Teacher of the Year banquet in September. He was to receive his master's in administration and administrative credential in August. Jesse is also a board member in the One Day at a Time, which serves youths trying to leave gang life, and volunteers as a boys' and girls' group co-facilitator and counselor. |
| Carla (Claeys) and Gil Rodriguez were expecting another bundle of joy at the end of July to join older sibling, Logan, 2. Carla is a prosecutor in Sonoma, and Gil, who went to SMC for one year, is a dentist.

| Alfonso Mendoza lives in San Diego and is married to Gabrielle Cerda. They have two wonderful daughters, Marina, 6, and Yasmin, 11, and two rowdy dogs, Jake and Diego. Alfonso is a field advisor for the California Telephone Access Program, which provides free specialized telephone equipment to people with disabilities. Last summer, Alfonso purchased his second Harley Davidson, a Road Glide, and he planned to ride it to Reunion Weekend in July. |

| Kirk and Daphne (Scofield) Pulver enjoy life in Idaho. Kirk covers much of the northwest territory for Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company, traveling to Washington, Oregon, Montana and throughout Idaho. Daphne keeps busy with their three kids, including chairing their school Italian Dinner and online auction fundraiser, which raised more than $25,000 in its first year. She was a recently featured mom in Eagle Life magazine for her jewelry business. |
| Daryl Semien lives in South San Francisco with wife of nine years, Venus, daughter, Jaliana, 7, son; Daryl Jr., 12 and their brother, Niko, 12. Daryl has been an emergency dispatcher for San Francisco since 2004. From 2000 to 2002, he was in the Army as microwave systems specialist stationed in Georgia and at Ft. Lewis, Wash. The former voice of SMC at KSMC, Daryl is a part-time mixer/DJ at 102.5 KDON in Salinas. He is also assistant baseball coach in the San Bruno Bronco Baseball program and a member of the Northern California Umpire Association. |

Robert McGee MBA has worked for the last year with World of Good, Inc. a venture-backed start-up, as COO/CFO. The company imports and distributes fair trade-produced handcrafted products from 135 countries. In addition to a for-profit arm, the company operates a nonprofit development organization. Bob is also helping to establish the Professional Ethics and Global Justice Center at the University of Idaho and will chair the advisory board for the program's first two years. |
Julie (Porcella) Rolland spent the past two years in public affairs at the U.S. Mission to UNESCO in Paris. In January 2007, she helped organize a literacy roundtable presided by Laura Bush at UNESCO headquarters. She got a kick out of meeting the first lady, and introducing her to husband, Alain, and sons, Nico and Michael. Julie has lived with her family in the Paris suburbs for 15 years. |
