| Lino Amaral, after 18 years in the financial services industry, purchased two existing local businesses, the European-style Broadway Cafe and Gift Baskets by Design in Walnut Creek: www.gift-basket.com. Lino, his wife of 15 years, Linda, their son, Matthew, and daughter, Monica, were awaiting a new addition to the family in April. |
1988
Tim Cooper taught in the Pittsburg Unified School District, received an administrative credential and master’s from CSU Hayward and moved to the Antioch Unified School District. In fall 2007, he was named principal of Black Diamond Middle School in Antioch. Tim is married to Corene (Maines) Cooper ’89 and has a son, Alex, and a daughter, Kaylie. He coaches many sports, and being part of SMC’s 10-0 football season is still something he is very proud of. |
| Susanna “Nana” (Garcia) Guzman is president and CFO of the Mega Group of Companies, a conglomerate in the Philippines involved in large government IT projects and security solutions for the financial sector. She is married to Nick Guzman, a dentist, and they have three children — Mariel, 11, Manuel, 8, and Marcel. |

| Anne (Recupero) Hauscarriague successfully defended her dissertation at Claremont Graduate University in February. She teaches mathematics at Santiago Canyon College in Orange. She and husband, John ’88, have two future Gaels, Matt and Will. |
| Tori (Verber) Salazar is a deputy district attorney in the gang violence suppression unit in San Joaquin County and prosecutes gang-related homicide suspects. She is the mother of Joey, Lucca and Lucianna, who attend St. Anne’s School in Lodi. She is on the San Joaquin County Fair Board and serves on local charities. Her husband is a partner at the law firm of Lewis, Brisbane, Viscard and Smith. Her niece, Lyndsay, just started at SMC, making her the third generation to attend. |

| Jill (Brusco) Fox, Marty Vranicar ’67 and Paige D’Angelo ’91 work together at the California District Attorneys Association in Sacramento. Marty joined the CDAA in January 2008 as assistant CEO. Paige became traffic safety public information officer in January as well, and Jill has been a training consultant with the office since 1988. In true Gael spirit, they e-mail each other with basketball scores and highlights. |
| Erin (McKeown) Smith lives in Juneau, Alaska, with her husband, Mark, and their two sons. Dominic, 18, will attend Saint Mary’s starting fall 2008 and will play soccer for the Gaels. Max, 15, is a high school freshman. Erin has worked for the Juneau School District off and on for 20 years. |
| Molly (Murphy) Burke resides in San Francisco with her husband, Mark, and two girls, Maggie and Maureen, who share mom’s curls. Molly has worked for BART for 18 years handling government and community outreach in San Francisco. She participates in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and keeps in close contact with many SMC friends. |

| Ricky and Nicole (Gazzera) Phillips live in San Jose and have two children, Joe, 16, and Taylor, 13, who attend The King’s Academy in Sunnyvale. Nicki has taught in the Moreland School District for 19 years (including the last five years in kindergarten). Rick is beginning his 13th year as a chiropractor. | Cheryl (Bauer) Cinelli is a senior vice president in the commercial lending group at Bank of Marin. She lives in Kentfield with husband Mike ’81 and children Matthew, 11, and Nina, 7. |
| Carolyn (Daly) and husband, Kelly Morris ’82, will celebrate their 25th anniversary in 2008. They met at SMC and were married in the Chapel. Kelly is an elementary school teacher, and Carolyn a marketing manager. They have two children, Cally, 16, and Sam, 14. |

| Xiomara (Cuevas) Galindo is a television reporter on “Making It” and hosted shows such as “Good Day L.A.,” KTLA’s “News at Ten” and Fox’s “Hollywood Christmas Parade.” Xiomara is an Emmy award winner for her production work honoring “Hispanic Heritage.” She lives in Southern California with her husband and three children. |

| Dan Otter and his wife, Victoria, live in Las Vegas with their three children: Danielle, 11, Christian, 9, and Katie, 7. Dan’s company, Sierra Development Group, LLC, develops projects in Las Vegas and Southern California. He is a board member of the Lou Ruvo Brain Institute, a foundation seeking cures and treatments for Alzheimer’s, Huntington’s, Parkinson’s and ALS diseases. Dan received his EMBA from UCLA in 1994. |
| Greg MS ’86 and Susan (Spinetti) ’82 Tennyson have a sophomore at SMC — Steven, the fourth generation at SMC with the legacy dating back to the “Brickpile” in Oakland. Their oldest son sells residential real estate in the Sacramento area. |

They remodeled their house in stages during the past two decades and enjoyed the experience and the outcome. In their book, they share ways to avoid tension, manage and control the process and avoid overspending.
