1999

 Tim Ambrose EE spent Christmas and New Year’s at Disney World in Orlando, Fla., with wife, Paula, and daughter, Jessica. During the trip, 6-year-old Jessica lost her first tooth and got a visit from a special tooth fairy.
Maria Aparicio lives in her hometown, San Diego, with her husband, Francisco Gonzalez, and two beautiful daughters, Mia Katerina, 3, and Sadie Natalia, 2. She was recently promoted to business development manager for national accounts with Sprint Nextel.
Katherine (Dothee) Bowman married Jimmy Bowman on June 23, 2007 at Wildwood Acres Resort in Lafayette. Dad Ken Dothee ‘67 walked her down the aisle. She was accompanied by alums Erica (Grassini) Stoke and Cathy (Blyther) Eick, and Matt Brys was a wonderful DJ. The Bowmans live in West Sacramento with their English bulldog Otis and were expecting a baby in May. Katie is an occupational therapist at Mercy General Hospital while Jimmy is a paramedic in Richmond.
 Carrie (Gallagher) Crompton and R. Seth Crompton were married on Feb. 16 in St. Louis. Carrie received her law degree in 2004 from California Western School of Law and is practicing in St. Louis, where she has lived for three years.
 Heather (Kennedy) Bishop has lived in Lodi for almost four years. She and her husband, Jeremy, welcomed daughter Peyton Eileen on Feb. 13, 2007. Peyton’s wild hair and sweet face keep them smiling. Heather is a part-time accountant at the University of the Pacific so she can spend time with Peyton.
Brenda Kiba EE is an administrative assistant for Russell Tiberii, SMC’s dean of academic advising, in the new Filippi Academic Hall. She is awaiting her eldest daughter’s decision to be a Gael in fall 2008 and joined the SMC alumni network hoping to reconnect with old friends.
Megan (Meuser) Thomas married Matt Thomas of Placerville on Oct. 6, 2007. They live in San Diego; he is opening a restaurant in South Park and she teaches in Poway.
Fawn Sutherland was engaged to Edward Radmanich III on Nov. 15, 2007. They plan to marry in October.
 Chris Trenholme lives in San Francisco with Dan Aguilar and works as an on-premise representative for Coors Brewing Company. Chris loves San Francisco and supports the Raider Nation.

 


1998

 Dan Capponi and his wife, Marisa, welcomed son Rocco James Capponi on Nov. 9, 2007. Dan and Marisa married on June 10, 2006 at SMC and live in Napa. Dan, a dentist, sends love and blessings to his Saint Mary’s friends.
Michael and Rebecca (Rodriguez) Castagnetto have two children, Sophia, 6, and Dominic, 2, and live in Salinas. Michael is the director of operations for FoodSource, a produce brokerage firm. Rebecca is a fourth-grade teacher at La Gloria Elementary in Gonzales.
 Karen (Ferrigno) married Brett Clyne ’95 in October 2000 at St. Peter’s and Paul’s Church in San Francisco. They have a daughter, Elizabeth, who was born in August 2006. Karen has enjoyed a successful career in international public relations and corporate communications for several years both agency-side and in-house. She consults for a firm in San Francisco. Brett earned his master’s in organizational management following graduation at SMC and is a police officer in the Bay Area.
 Katie (Gallagher) Zampiello and husband, Geoff, welcomed
their first child, Sidney Nicole, on Oct. 2, 2007. She was 7 pounds, 9 ounces and 19 inches long. Katie has returned to work part-time at UBS. They live in Norwalk, Conn., with their dog Dudley and cat Cleo.
 Fiona (Haycock) Walker (right, with son, Kyle) gathered with friends for a mini-reunion at the Exploratorium in January. The group included Sarah (Tait) Sanabria with daughter, Julia; Jen (Chargin) Robinson with daughter, Ava; Christian Faulkenberry-Miranda with son, Noah. Christian and Fiona were expecting their second child in April. Sarah’s daughter Madison, 3, decided to run around rather than pose for a picture.
 Ryan Kotarba lives in Lafayette and has built an extensive wealth planning practice over the past 13 years at firms including Bear Stearns in San Francisco and most recently as a vice president at UBS in Walnut Creek. He creates personalized investment plans that go well beyond traditional financial planning concepts.
 Isadora (Montoya) Quintanilla and husband, Julio, live in Hercules, where Isadora works as a project engineer for Kaiser Permanente in Vallejo and Julio is a sales executive for Verizon Wireless in Concord. They are excited to be expecting and send their love to SMC friends.
 Nicole Omsted returned to the United States after living in Berlin and London (again) for a couple of years. She heads up the sales and marketing division for a software company in Boston.
Kristin (Randall) Caliendo and her husband, Derek, were married in May 2006. They live in Scottsdale, Ariz., where Derek is vice president of a global finance company and Kristin enjoys being a stay-at-home mom and volunteering for a special-needs school. They welcomed their first daughter, Addison, on July 26, Kristin’s 32nd birthday.
Jamie (Shine) Croy moved back to Southern California after graduation and teaches high school PE. She lives in Placentia with her husband of five years, Ricky, and their two children, Kayden, 3, and Jimmy, 1.
 Melissa (Willard) Overgaard lives in Brentwood with her husband, Mark, and 3-year-old daughter, Kendall. The Overgaards are due to add to the family in July. Melissa works remotely as a sales engineer for Wolters Kluwer.

 


1997

 Julie (Dudum) Del Santo and her husband, Tony, recently celebrated the sixth-month anniversary of their Sept. 1 wedding and booked a trip to Hawaii, one of Julie’s favorite spots. They live in Walnut Creek, where Tony manages local family restaurants and Julie is a real estate broker.
 Mollie (Flint) Rosing moved to the Bay Area as her husband, James, finishes his surgical residency at Stanford. Mollie works from home for an investment advisory firm while taking care of their three kids, Luke, 4, Ellie, 2, and Mark James, 1.
 Michael Kuzmich is working in the real estate group of McDonough Holland & Allen PC, a Northern California law firm. Kuzmich prosecutes, defends and resolves all types of general and complex civil disputes in federal and state courts, as well as in private dispute resolution forums (arbitration and mediation). He earned his law degree from the UOP McGeorge School of Law in 2000 and was editor of the McGeorge Law Review.
David E. Perry MBA ’01 ME ’04 and wife Susan (Siefert) ’03 were expecting their third child in April. Drew, 3, and Kaylin, 21 months, are excited about the baby. Dave teaches eighth grade at a Catholic school in Davis and anticipates returning to school administration in the coming school year.
Michael Scammon was with Toyota Motor Credit Corporation until 2002 and works for JP Morgan Chase as a loan underwriter for its auto division. He is single and lives in Sacramento.
Alison (Wallace) Hutchens EMA ’07 married Dan Hutchens, a PE teacher, on April 7, 2007, at Wildwood Acres Resort in Lafayette. Marilyn Paquette was her maid of honor; Kendi (Botts) Merlo ’00 and Missy O’Neill ’04 were bridesmaids. Alison earned her administrative credential in August 2006. She teaches in Concord, and she and Dan live in San Francisco.

 


1996

 Adam Price and his wife, Samantha, welcomed a new addition to their family, Camden Aoife, in December. They also have a 4-year-old girl, Cerys Mae. Adam is a district manager for ADP in San Antonio, Tex.
 Chris Wright, his wife, Jus, and 2-year-old daughter, Maya, are awaiting the arrival of their second child in mid-August. Chris chairs the Social Science Department and teaches AP history at Fairfield High School. He looks forward to hooking up again with fellow Gael rugby players for “Call to Duty III” in June at AT&T Park.

 


1995

Mindy (McLaughlin) and Randal Scott Gillum were married on Nov. 24, 2007, at St. Paul’s Chapel in Walnut Creek. A dinner reception followed at Postino in Lafayette. They live in a 1916 Craftsman bungalow in downtown Martinez.
Mark Richey is a pilot for Southwest Airlines after a 10-year stint as an Air Force pilot. Mark lives in Baltimore, where he is in the Maryland Air National Guard.
 Brandi (Sitter) married Derek John Robertson ’95 in June 2005, in Flagstaff, Ariz. They honeymooned in Italy and Germany for six weeks. Their first baby, Sadie Lynne, was born on May 30, 2007. Brandi is a counselor in the Peoria School District and Derek works in sales. They live in Anthem, Ariz.

 


1994

Chris Fisher is married with two great kids, Rich and Alex. He owns Jostens Speakers Bureau in Lafayette. Life is good.
Keith Larson and his wife, Aileen, celebrated the birth of their son, Henry, on Nov. 12, 2007. Henry’s brother, Charlie, turned 4 in September 2007. Since June 2007, Keith works as a technical/sports writer for Electronic Arts in Redwood Shores. The family lives in Los Gatos and loves watching the Sony flat-screen TV that Greg Belloni ’94 sold them.
Stacy (Setterberg) Litsjo, husband, Kurt, and son, Logan, welcomed Conner Scott Nils Litsjo to the family on Feb. 13, 2007. Stacy is a detective with the Seattle Police Department’s Fraud and Forgery Unit.

 


1993

James and Jennifer (Bornmann) Brasiel welcomed their first child on Dec. 4, 2007. William weighed 7 pounds, 10 ounces and was 20 inches long. The family lives in Antioch. Jennifer, who graduated in 2002 from the UCSF School of Pharmacy, plans to return to work at the San Ramon Regional Medical Center as a clinical and staff pharmacist. James, who has a master’s in health administration from Saint Joseph’s College of Maine and an M.D. from Saint Matthew’s University School of Medicine, is postponing residency for a year to stay home with their new son.
Kevin Kelly and his wife, Stephanie, were married in 2000 at St. Peter’s and Paul’s Catholic Church. They have one son, Christopher Donovan, born in January 2005. Kevin works in the quality assurance department of Hudson Entertainment in Redwood Shores, assisting in the production, reviews and testing of video games for the XBOX 360, Nintendo Wii and other consoles. He enjoys golf, teaching and coaching his son in sports.
Tiffany (Hoyt) and Sean Price had their third child, Addison Marie, in March 2007, welcomed by sister Katie, 8, and brother Drew, 5. They live in Danville.

 


1992

Cynthia Boaz married Gheorghe Dicu in Romania on Jan.19. They met in Spain last March while Cynthia was a guest scholar in Castellon de la Plana.
Cynthia will begin teaching
in the Political Science Department at Sonoma State University in fall 2008.
Erin Burke changed careers after 15 years of sales and marketing in high tech to real estate. She also rows, loves running in the Los Gatos hills and inline skating.
Frank Casciato and his band, Just Like Priest: A Tribute to Judas Priest, were recently awarded “Best Tribute Band 2007” by All Access Magazine. They gig about once a month in Southern California. By day, he is an executive vice president of a small publishing firm in Calabasas. He and his wife Jennifer (Jones) live in Simi Valley with daughters Jessica, 8, and Jordan, 5.
 Anthony Davi Jr. and Cameron, his wife of 12-plus years, have three children at Stevenson Lower School in Carmel: Lindsay, 11, who is into wakeboarding and hip hop; Lorin, 8, into guitar and clothes; and Guido, 5, who loves sports. Anthony is in real estate sales and investments; his firm, A.G. Davi Property Management and Real Estate, is based in Monterey. The Davis live in Pebble Beach.
 Nicole (Flora) Adamo MS ’02 and husband, Kerry, welcomed their first child, Gianni William, on Nov. 1, 2006.
 Amanda (Madrid) Karabian met up with former roommates Carolyn (Dunkin) Kitchen, Paula (DeCarbonel) Thomas, Marie (Amoore) Hagopian, for their annual girls’ weekend. This year they met in Palm Desert.
Michelle McKenzie EE has more than 17 years in the publishing industry as an editor, author and publisher (Monterey Bay Aquarium Press). She recently began writing grants for nonprofits. She is a member of the American Association of Grant Professionals and the International Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators; view her work at www.mckenziebookworks.com.
 Jared L. Mikacich and wife, Jennifer, are enjoying their first child, Jared James, born on Sept. 19, 2007. They live in Sacramento and get to a few Gael basketball games each year.
 John Palmer lives in St. Helena and works with Alpha Omega Winery in Napa Valley, which produces small lots of old-world style wines. Palmer joined several colleagues from another winery to become part of a reorganized hospitality team at Alpha Omega.

 


1991

 The Class of 1991 moved the sculpture it donated to the College to a new location in front of the Soda Center. It includes a plaque inscribed: “Saint Mary’s College: You’re in our heart, you’re in our soul — Class of 1991.” Be sure to see the sculpture the next time you visit campus.
 Drue Hulmer-Vest announces that Talia Ayden Hulmer-Vest was born on March 2 and was 6 pounds, 13 ounces and 19½ inches long. The family is doing great and learning each day — adjusting to the sleep pattern is challenging.
Andrea (Spiegel) Rouah is the associate director of development for major gifts at San Francisco State University.
Dave Witts was recently appointed president of Metric Parking Group, Inc., managing Metric’s facilities in Cranbury, N.J., and all business dealings in North America. Previously Dave worked for Parkeon as key account manager. Dave, his wife, Deborah, and son, Jason, live in Glassboro, N.J. Jason is attending college in the fall.

 


1990

Mike Berdine EMBA works for American Honda Motor Company as the national manager of warranty and information technology. He is also an adjunct instructor at Cerritos College teaching business administration courses.
David Chua and wife, Edna, welcomed twins, Brianna Paige and Benjamin III, on Oct. 25, 2007. They joined sisters Erin Dominique and Erika Danielle. Dave is the CEO of CAPASCO, a steel holdings group with operations based in the Philippines. He is a governor of the Philippine Stock Exchange, a director of the Philippine Savings Bank and the conference chairman of the 2008 National Employers Conference of the Employers Confederation of the Philippines.
 Larry Hobson EE ’93 received a postgraduate degree in occupational therapy from the University of Central Arkansas. He works as regional executive healthcare analyst and data manager in quality and performance for eight hospital systems in four northwestern states. He lives in Washougal, Wash., with his wife, Erin, a pharmacy manager for Safeway, and their 2-year-old son, Jacob Ryan.
David W. Ness was appointed by the Merced County Board of Supervisors to the board of trustees of the Merced County Employees Retirement Association in 2007. For the past eight years, he has been CFO and vice president for finance and information systems for MERCO Credit Union in Merced. David and Pearl have been married for 16 years and have two daughters, Katherine, 8, and Laura, 5.
