Gael Glimpses, 1950-1959
1959
| Jim Keating attends Mass on Sunday and performs marriages on Saturday. The services are short and humorous for couples that can’t get married in Church — or don’t want to. It’s a growing number. | |
| Greg Kohles ’59 and his grandson, Greg Janssen, won the National Grandfather/Grandson Grass Court Tennis Championships at the Longwood Cricket Club, Chestnut Hill, Mass. in July. They have played in national tournaments as a team since 2003. | ![]() |
1957
| E. A. “Sam” Renati is running again for director of the Novato Sanitary District (NSD) after a two-year break. With 40 years as general contractor and 13 years on the NSD as director in the past, he should have a good chance to get re-elected. Any support will be greatly appreciated. |
1956
| Daniel Biner and his wife, Angela, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. |
1950
| Frank Pimentel came to Saint Mary’s in 1944 on a football scholarship. He did some Army time and returned into the Class of ’50. He just celebrated his 80th birthday in San Francisco with his six children, who came from Hong Kong, Tokyo, Oregon and Southern California. He still follows Gael sports and supports the Class of ’50 Scholarship Fund. |
