Classroom Information
Filippi Academic Hall (FAH) is home to the Kalmanovitiz School of Education, 49 faculty offices including the Philosophy and Studies for International Students (SIS) offices, the Tutorial and Academic Skills Center (TASC) and 8 state of the art classrooms. The TASC offices are accessed only from the West end of the building opposite Augustine Hall.
All classrooms are on the first floor, including a computer lab (FAH 105) with 23 computers that will run Windows and Mac applications. Six of the classrooms include lightweight moveable desks, full media systems; including a large screen, LCD projector and a dynamic sound system. The teacher’s work stations are self-contained within the classroom podiums. FAH 125 was designed as a seminar room with 16 tablet armchairs on wheels.
On the first floor you will also find 2 first come first serve study rooms, the Brother Mel Anderson student lounge, and a soon to be activated internet lounge.
FAH incorporates a state of the art climate control system with a HEPPA air filtration system. The filtration system is designed to improve indoor air quality and help relieve allergy and asthma symptoms.
The second floor houses the administrative/faculty offices. Need a meeting space? The second floor also offers a state-of-the-art conference room with a seating capacity of 18. You may book this space by contacting Edy Bizot (ebizot@stmarys-ca.edu) or through my office.
