Technology and Media Support
Instructors who experience problems with hardware or software in their classrooms should call the Service Desk at extension 4266. We have desktop support technicians standing by who will respond within 5 minutes for a classroom emergency during support hours. IT Services has prepositioned projectors, speakers etc. in various buildings around campus.
Please call extension 4266 as soon as you detect a problem.
IT Services also provides Tech Checks for faculty. One of our full-time staff will come to your assigned classroom and show you how things work. Again, one phone call to the Service Desk at extension 4266 will get the response effort going.
If you are concerned about using the technology in your classroom, IT Services can send a technician to your classroom 15 minutes or so before the class begins. The technician will stay until your class has started. Please contact the Service Desk at extension 4266 to arrange for this type of support.
For classrooms that do not have projectors etc. the Media Services department can provide mobile equipment. Please give us 3 business days notice and IT Services will deliver the media equipment to you. You can reserve equipment either by calling the Service Desk at extension 4266 or by using the online media reservation form.
