Welcoming Address by Keith H. Ogawa

Good morning, everyone,

On behalf of the faculty of the Department of Psychology I want to welcome you to the Western Psychology Conference for Undergraduate Research. As you know, this year marks the 40th anniversary of the conference, held previously for three-and-a-half decades by our colleagues at Santa Clara University. At this time I would like to acknowledge our colleagues from the South Bay for their dedication to undergraduate education and say how delighted we are to carry on this important tradition.

As your host, I hope you enjoy the conference and find your experience a rewarding one. We are excited by the diversity of colleges here today and appreciate your travelling so far to attend. Thank you, and let's begin.
