The Accounting Boot Camp is required for some students.
The Accounting Boot Camp is required of students who either:
- do not have a major/minor concentration in accounting
- have a major/minor in accounting but a cumulative GPA below 2.75
The Accounting Boot Camp will cover introductory and intermediate topics in accounting and will include the preparation of four financial statements, in-depth analysis of various items on the balance sheet, and statements of income, cash flows and equity.
The Accounting Boot Camp will be held over six weeks beginning in the second half of May. Classes will be delivered in the hybrid format - half of the class meetings online and half face-to-face in the classroom. Online classes will be held in the evening on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. or 8 - 10 p.m. Face-to-face sessions will be held every Saturday on the Saint Mary’s Campus for six weeks starting on Saturday, May 18.
The fee for the Accounting Boot Camp is $2,000 which is in addition to the M.S. in Accounting tuition. Students will receive course credit and transcripts for boot camp courses (ACCTG 200 and ACCTG 201).
