  • De La Salle H.S. Football Movie Opens Aug. 21

    "When the Game Stands Tall," a movie about the 151-game winning streak of the De La Salle High School football team, opens Thursday, Aug. 21. Coached at the time by Bob Ladouceur, MA ’89, the Spartans set a national record.

  • SMC Alum Featured on Katie Couric Show

    JG Larochette '02, who launched the Mindful Life Project in Richmond schools in 2012, appeared on Katie Couric’s daytime talk show, "Katie," last month. The program, which uses mindfulness to help at-risk kids, yielded a 40 to 65 percent drop in suspensions its first year.

  • Athletes Win in the Classroom

    Almost half of Saint Mary's student-athletes—130 total—were honored recently by the West Coast Conference, which recognizes student-athletes who successfully balance athletic success with academic excellence, for earning a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Rowing, soccer, softball and volleyball led the pack.

  • Gaels in Hollywood

    A slew of Saint Mary’s alums are seriously involved in the world of the silver screen (and we don’t mean just streaming videos from the couch). They are making their way in Hollywood and they all got their start here in Moraga.

  • Golden Vocals

    Saint Mary’s Chamber Singers and Glee Club just won two gold medals at the World Choir Games Competition—aka the Olympics for Choirs—in Riga, Latvia.

  • NSF STEM Grant for Science Students

    Saint Mary’s College has been awarded a National Science Foundation grant, the largest from the organization in the College’s history, to provide scholarship support for low-income students and enrichment programming for students majoring in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
