Cornel West Speaks at Social Justice Conference
Author, educator and activist Dr. Cornel West delivered a stirring keynote address at Saint Mary's Leadership and Social Justice Conference to nearly 600 students, professors and community members on Saturday, Oct. 11. He spoke about the condition of the African-American community and how young people should look to historical examples of leadership exemplifying Black prophetic traditions.
College Continues Its Strong Financial Position
Recently released financial statements show that Saint Mary’s continues its upward financial trend, said Vice President for Finance Pete Michell. The audited financial statements for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2014, released by independent auditing firm Baker & Tilly, indicate strong operating results and investment returns. Michell has also released a summary of financial highlights for the recent fiscal year.
