Coordinator 

Campus Recreation Coordinators supports the Directors of Campus Recreation in the vision, development, and the implementation of the various aspects related to programming and day-to-day management of Campus Recreation. This advanced position requires minimal supervision and assists in administrative tasks.  Coordinates schedules and has effective communication with the student staff and participants.  Assist in program implementation and meeting program deadlines accordingly.  This position will specialize in leading, developing and improving on campus recreation programming. Promoting and marketing the department, programs and special events with the campus community. Duties include the ability to make effective work related decisions. Ability to learn, follow and enforce Campus Recreation policies, procedures and regulations. This position will respond quickly to the needs and demands of Campus Recreation Programming and assist in the organization of programs, day-to- day management and serve as a leader for the entire Campus Recreation staff. Positions include: Equipment Coordinator, Intramural Coordinator, Madigan Coordinator, Marketing Coordinator, Outdoor Adventures Coordinator, Club Sport Operations Coordinator and Summer Camps Coordinator(s).


Intramural Supervisor 

Supervisor is responsible for assisting in the production of an inclusive intramural sports program which may include enforcing Intramural Sports policies and procedures, set up and take down of game site, referee evaluations, and general oversight of game day operations. This experienced position includes supervising officials and providing instruction to improve performance. Enforce Campus Recreation and Intramural Sports policies for staff and participants. Complete end of shift detailed reports including official evaluations and game summaries. Set up and break down of equipment needed to run activities. This position is also the first responder in an emergency. Job requires discretion in judgment, analysis, and decision-making

Intramural Official/Scorekeeper

Intramural Officials are responsible for assisting in the production of an inclusive intramural sports program which may include field setup/take down, marketing, officiating league sports and tournaments, scorekeeping and/or special events. Duties include the ability to effectively officiate intramural sports. Ability to learn, follow and enforce Campus Recreation policies, procedures and regulations. Ability to move quickly up and down field/court. Set up and break down of goals and other equipment needed to run the league game.

 

Madigan Supervisor

Madigan Supervisor is responsible for performing a variety of duties relative to monitoring Madigan Gym and the participants.  This experienced position involves securely opening and closing office and storage space, facility set-up for programs and events. It also includes supervising staff and providing instruction to improve performance. Position performs routine and non-routine tasks requiring considerable on-the-job training and/or specialized skills.  This position is also the first responder in an emergency. Job requires discretion in judgment, analysis, and decision-making.

Madigan Attendant 

This position is responsible for monitoring and ensuring the safety of participants using Madigan Gym as well as enforcing rules and regulations regarding use. Position is responsible to providing participants with proper information about programs, classes and event as well as monitor participant waivers.  This position is also responsible for hourly and daily counts.

Lifeguard 

The lifeguard is responsible for monitoring and ensuring the safety of patrons using the aquatic facilities, as well as enforcing rules and regulations regarding pool use. Position completes routine and complex assignments requiring specialized knowledge and previous experience. Lifeguard, First Aid, CPR & AED Certification required at all times.


Outdoor Adventures Assistant

This position is responsible for monitoring and ensuring the safety of participants in Outdoor Adventure Programming as well as enforcing rules and regulations regarding of the program.  Position is responsible to providing participants with proper information about event as well as monitor participant waivers.  This position is also responsible to market the outdoor adventures program effectively. 


Game & Camp Operations

This position assists in the home game and camp operations. This position is knowledgeable of game and sport equipment and facility use, Duties include set-up and break down for home games, camp registration, and special events.  This position will be in outside conditions for most of the day and endure summer heat or winter cold temperatures. This position will also be asked to lift heavy objects. This position will have a various schedule including early morning, evening and weekend shifts.


Marketing/Special Events Assistant 

This position is responsible for effective marketing techniques and tactics for Campus Recreation.  This includes creative thinking and problem solving.  It also includes paying attention to detail and working as a team to accomplish the goals and objectives for Campus Recreation.  Duties include weekly meetings, developing and attending special events and involvement with other campus departments.  Must be able to multitask and ability to reach out to the campus population.

Photographer / Videographer

This position is responsible to capture Campus Recreation programs and events with photography or videography.  This position will have knowledge and experience to operate various photography and/or videography equipment as well as the ability to export media to the appropriate outlets.  This position is an important part to the Marketing and Special Events team and must be able to attend weekly and special meetings and communicate with appropriate program coordinators.

Sports Writer

This position is responsible to attend club sport home games and report on the status appropriately.  Duties include communication with the team leaders about home game schedules, upcoming events and interesting stories.  This position will also be responsible to update social media in a timely manner and report back to administration about game outcome and scores. This position is an important part to the Marketing and Special Events team and must be able to attend weekly and special meetings and communicate with appropriate program coordinators.

Graphic Designer 

This position is responsible to design, create and prepare digital art media for Campus Recreation.  This position will have knowledge and experience in one or more of the following software systems: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign and or Adobe Photoshop.  Duties include preparing print and digital art that includes, but not limited to posters, flyers, websites, social media and marketing items.  This position is an important part to the Marketing and Special Events team and must be able to attend weekly and special meetings and communicate with appropriate program coordinators.

 

Residential Attendant 

Residential Counselor assists in the preparation and duration of stay for campers and teams. Responsibilities include walk-throughs, check-ins and overnight supervision.  Other duties include nighttime hall monitoring, check out and room preparation before and after camper use. Residential Counselor is responsible to follow emergency protocol at all times. This position is also the first responder in an emergency. Job requires discretion in judgment, analysis, and decision-making
