Gaels Suffer Loss to #3 Westminster at Nationals
Saint Mary's faced a tough opponent in the first round of the National Div. II finals in Greensville, SC. Although the Gaels lost to Westminster 6-12 , the Saint Mary's Lacrosse community applauds the Gaels in this well earned, first-ever appearance at the National Tournament.
MCLA.us to Broadcast National Tournament Games Live
The MCLA has announced that all 15 games of this weeks MCLA Division II National Tournament will be broadcast live from Greenville, SC including the Gaels’ first round game tomorrow at 10:30 AM ET. The first round (Monday May 14th), the Quarterfinals (May 15th), and the Semifinals (May 17th) will all be streamed live on MCLA.us. The MCLA Division II Championship Game will be broadcast live on Fox College Sports on Saturday May 19th at 6:30 PM ET. more

Gaels Make Program History With MCLA National Tournament Bid For the first time in program history, SMC has been invited to the MCLA National tournament to compete as the #14 seed amoung the top sixteen DII programs in the nation. Saint Mary's first game will be 5/14 at 10:30pm vs. Westminster (#3) in Greenville, SC. Saint Mary's is hungry for this opportunity to showcase their talent on the national stage, and could not be happier to head into the first round facing an opponent they have seen before. Saint Mary's Brings Home a Three-Peat WCLL Conference Championship May 6th, 2012- Saint Mary's Lacrosse defeated Humboldt 14-5 to advance to the WCLL Div. II Finals against Santa Cruz. With a 16-5 win over the Slugs, the Gaels celebrated the three-peat championship and waited for the MCLA to announce the qualifying teams for the National Tournament in Greensville, SC, in hopes that the Gaels would be amoung the 16 teams invited to Nationals.
