March 13, 2009-- The Gaels traveled to Reno to play the University of Nevada-Reno Wolfpack in a Friday night show down.

The SMC b-sides took the field first and shut out the UNR b-side 74-0.

Next, the Gaels A-side faced a determined Wolfpack team. The score at the half was 33-3.

Great play was seen by first year player Alec Tappin with two tries. On Saturday the b-side hosted Sierra College. The Gaels came up short in a second half serge to lose 24-15.

Next week, the Gaels will be hosting a Thursday evening (March 19th) match versus Princeton University at 5pm.

On Saturday March 21st, the Gaels will face-off with the Golden Bears of University of California- Berkeley at St. Mary's Pat Vincent Rugby Field, 1pm kickoff. This match will determine the #1 and #2 seeds for the Pacific Coast playoff seeding."
