Event Description: 

What: Poerty by Nature; Explore the connections between poetry and the natural world in this writing-centered course. Students will consider traditional and contemporary representations of nature in poems while developing their own creative voice. In-class time will be split between discussion of readings, writing exercises, and workshop.

Instructor: Taught by Saint Mary's MFA in Creative Writing Alum Kristen Sbrogna, Poetry By Nature welcomes writers of all levels!
Kristen Sbrogna holds a Permaculture Design Certification from Permaculture Insitute East Bay (PIE), and is also a graduate of the MFA program at Saint Mary's. Earlier this years she taught an SMC Jan Term course entitled ''Intro to Permaculture: Food, Water, Shelter & Energy Systems for the Future.''

When Mondays, beginning October 19 and 26; Nov. 2, 9, 16 and 23, from 6-8 p.m.

Where: Dante Hall Rm 113, Saint Mary's College of California, 1928 St. Mary's Rd., Moraga.

Fee: $192.00 (cost of reader/books not included)
