Caps, Gowns & Hoods

All participants in the Undergraduate Commencement ceremony MUST wear a graduation cap with tassel, a black academic gown and the appropriate academic hood designating your school of academic affiliation (note: associate degree graduates do not receive/wear hoods). 

No separate purchase or order will need to be made ...the Commencement Office works with the SMC Bookstore to manage all regalia orders for all undergraduate students.  The price of the graduation regalia (cap, tassel, gown, and hood) was included in your graduation fees. 

These items will be available to be picked up in the Campus Bookstore on any of the following dates: 

Mid-May (specific dates TBA)

All official graduation attire is yours to keep after the Commencement Ceremony.

 Class Rings

Jostens offers discounts on class rings during all campus events.  A Jostens representative will be on campus taking ring orders on the following dates:

• October 23 & 24 -  at the SMC Bookstore 11am-4pm
• November 13 & 14 - at the SMC Bookstore 11am - 4pm
• December 4 & 5 - at the SMC Bookstore 11am - 4pm
