Professor Comments on Changing Church Demographics
Religious Studies Professor Paul Giurlanda was quoted in an article about a growing trend of churches being bought and sold that ran in the Contra Costa Times, the Oakland Tribune and several other newspapers. Giurlanda said that many Bay Area residents are turned off by organized religion, and consider themselves "spiritual" instead.
