What: A screening of the film Promises followed by a panel discussion. Promises was shot from 1995 to 2000, and explores the human side of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict through the lives of seven children from Palestine and Israel. The film has won numerous awards, including the 2002 Emmy Award for "Best Documentary."

Following the film, a panel of three Saint Mary's College faculty members will discuss the film with the audience. The panelists are: Hisham Ahmed (Political Science), Rabbi Harry Manhoff (Theology and Religious Studies), and Zach Flanagin (Theology and Religious Studies).
