Caitlin Roper (@caitlinroper) is a senior editor at Wired. She has worked in film and has contributed to The Moth, Pop-Up magazine, and The Los Angeles Times, amongst other outlets. Before Wired, she was managing editor of The Paris Review. She lives in San Francisco.
Andrew Lam is a co-founder of New America Media, an association of 2000 ethnic media outlets in the US, a regular contributor to Huffington Post, and a syndicated writer. He is also an author of three books, Perfume Dreams: Reflections on the Vietnamese Diaspora, which won a Pen award in 2006, East Eats West: Writing in Two Hemispheres, and his latest, Birds of Paradise Lost a collection of short stories about Vietnamese refugees who struggle to remake their lives in America’s West. Birds of Paradise Lost won a Pen West Coast Award as well as being nominated for the Story and Faulkner Prizes.
Matthew Zapruder is the author of four collections of poetry, most recently Come On All You Ghosts (Copper Canyon 2010), a New York Times Notable Book of the Year, and Sun Bear (Copper Canyon, 2014). An Assistant Professor in the St. Mary's College of California MFA program and English Department, and an Editor at Wave Books, he lives in Oakland, CA.
