Rebecca A Eckland holds an MFA in Nonfiction from Saint Mary's College of California. She also has two Master of Arts degrees in English and French awarded by the University of Nevada, Reno where she teaches in the English and Core Humanities Departments.

 

Her work has appeared in /The Barnstormer/, /Caught in the Carousel/, /3/Go Magazine/, and /The Rudder Magazine/; she has forthcoming work in /Weber: The Contemporary West/,  /TAYO Literary Magazine/ and /Hotel Amerika/. 


She is also the founder and organizer of Literary Arts and Wine, a reading series held the third Sunday of every month in Truckee, California.

  • Rebecca Eckland recently won the Lake Tahoe Triathlon, not just in her division, but overall, coming in first place out of all women who participated in the event!
  • Rebecca Eckland will be participating in the 2014 Nevada Humanities Literary Crawl in Reno on Saturday July 20.  She will read at 6:20pm at St. James Infirmary

  • Rebecca Eckland participated in the Alta Alpina Bicycle challenge on June 28, 2014.  She rode 160 miles, completeing 7 out of 8 passes, in the mountains near Markleeville, CA. 
  • Rebecca Eckland placed #1 in her division & 11th overall for women in the Ironman 70.3 in Boise, ID on June 7, 2014!
