Noon     Registration Begins at the Soda Center

 

9 a.m.  - 2 p.m.   Golf Outing $60/golfer (Class of '68 and '63)
Kick off the weekend on the links of Boundary Oaks Golf Course in Walnut Creek.  Call or email the golf course to reserve your tee time and pay your greens fees at 925-934-4775 Ext. 13 or mwiese@playboundaryoak.com.

 

 

7 p.m.     Townhouse Kick-Off Party (Lower Townhouses) $25/person
Just like the good ol' days! All reunion classes are invited to come back to the dorms to kick-off Reunion Weekend with a keg party in the lower townhouse quad. Price includes taco bar, beer and wine.

 

 

5:30 - 8:30 p.m. - Class of '63 Pre-Reunion Party (Christian Brothers' Private Enclosed Garden) $30/person
Members of the Class of '63 are invited to a reunion kick-off event catered by local favorite, Kinder's BBQ, in the Brothers' beautiful private garden on campus.

5 p.m.     Class of '68 Pre-Reunion Party (Residence of George and Gail Burtt)
Join the Class of '68 for a pre-Reunion Kegger-Barn Dance-TGIF-Boat Dance-19th hole Golf Party. This is the perfect way to kick off a fun filled 45th-reunion weekend. Unlike your college tuition (or your children's college tuition), this event will be free. Wine, beer and hors d'oevres will be hosted by classmates George Burtt and Bill Sonneman.

Swing by the Soda Center first to pick up your weekend goodies and the keys to your room.

 

 

8-10 a.m.     Breakfast (Oliver Hall) $8/person at the door
Fuel up in the newly renovated dining hall for an action-packed Saturday! The price includes all-you-can-eat hot breakfast. Pay at the door. 

 

 

10 a.m. & 11 a.m.    Campus Historical Tour with Chris Carter '97, MA '02 and Ron Turner '79 (Meet in front of the Chapel)
Join us for a unique tour of campus, complete with tales of Gael lore going back to the Moraga campus’ first days in 1928. The tour will conclude at the new memorabilia display in the visitor center.

 

 

10 a.m. - 12 p.m.     Class of '63 Collegiate Seminar (Arcade 1 and 2)
After 50 years, some of us have been musing on our one common experience at SMC from 1959-1963: the World Classics Seminar. Your wife is probably tired of hearing how you read Plato when you were 19, but you're not alone. Join us for a couple hours of nostalgia, creative history and just-plain lies about how Seminar may or may not have influenced our lives and careers.

 

 

10 - 11 a.m.     Alumni Admissions Program Training (Brother Jerome West Hall Presentation Room)
Join fellow alumni to learn about recent developments in admissions and enrollment, and hear about various opportunities for alumni to help the Admissions Office recruit future classes of Gaels.

 

 

10 a.m. - 12 p.m.     Visit the Saint Mary’s Legacy Garden (Behind Claeys South)
Don’t miss your chance to visit this half-acre student-run garden plot nestled in the hill behind Claeys South Residence Hall. The pesticide-free garden utilizes waste from Oliver Hall, Café Louis and Catering Services to create compost for growing fresh vegetables served in the dining hall! A garden steward will be on hand to give you a tour and provide some fresh garden goodies for you to take away!

 

 

 10 a.m - 5 p.m.     Bookstore is Open
Is that sweatshirt or t-shirt looking a little tattered and threadbare? Update your wardrobe with new Saint Mary's and Gael gear from the campus bookstore. Your welcome packet will include a 10% off coupon.



11:00-12:00 p.m.      SMC’s Newest Projects (Garaventa)
Vice President for Development Keith Brant will share his insights and the plans for Saint Mary's latest campus projects, including the new student recreation and aquatics center, state-of-the-art learning commons and addition to McKeon Pavilion.

 

 

Noon-2 p.m.     Family Picnic (De La Salle Quad) $20/person; $13/children
Bring the whole family to enjoy the afternoon sunshine on the De La Salle Hall lawn. The kids will love the bounce house, Gael mascot, carnival treats and face painting, while you catch up with classmates and groove to the music from the DJ. Price includes barbeque lunch, beer and wine.

 

 

2-4 p.m.     Live Music (Redwood Grove)
Relive your College days and enjoy the festive atmosphere in the Redwood Grove, featuring alumna Liz Seagrave Nunan '03 and her band "Talk Tonight," picnic games and beer.

 

 

2-3 p.m.     The Philosophy of Wine (Broussaeu Hall Atrium)
Introduce yourself to great wines from around the world with a one-hour seminar on wine, thought and language. Be prepared to swirl, sniff and sip several vintages and varietals during this interactive tasting.

 

 

2-3 p.m.     Saint Mary’s Storytelling – Big Moments in History (Hagerty Lounge)
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to join former President Brother Mel Anderson, FSC ’51; SMC Hall of Famer and long-time coach Bob Hagler ’50 and Professor Lawrence Cory ’39 for shared stories of SMC from the perspectives of the administration, athletics and academics. Relive many of the College’s historical moments through first-hand accounts from the men who lived them. And don’t leave without purchasing a signed copy of Brother Mel’s new memoir, Years of Yearning, to get the whole story!

 

 

4:30 p.m. Champagne Toast to Gael Love (Chapel Foyer)
Did you meet your spouse or significant other at Saint Mary's? Did you -- or do you plan to -- get married in the chapel? If so, come celebrate Gael love before Mass with a quick champagne toast and blessing.

 

5-6 p.m.     Reunion Mass (Chapel)
Join all classes for this special reunion memorial mass.

 

 

6-7:30 p.m.     All-Class Cocktail Hour (Chapel Plaza)
Get the evening started in style with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres as the sun sets on the Chapel Plaza.

 

7-7:30 p.m.     Class Photos (Chapel Plaza)
Join fellow classmates for a commemorative group photo on the Chapel steps before heading to your class reunion dinner.


7:30 p.m.     Class Reunion Dinners (Various Locations) $55/person

Celebrate your class reunion over dinner in various locations around campus. Price includes a prime rib dinner (vegetarian options available) and a hosted beer and wine bar.

 

 

9-11 p.m.     Reunion Dance (Moraga Room, Soda Center)
After dinner, meet back up in the Moraga Room of the Soda Center to dance the night away to music spanning throughout the decades. Plus, hit the photo booth for a commemorative snapshot of the night.
