What : "What's Next for Global Cinema and Music - The Rise of Bollywood and South Asian Identity"
Classically trained tabla (north Indian drums) artist Robin Sukhadia presents a survey of the history of Bollywood cinema through film clips and live performance. Sukhadia's lecture will present Bollywood as a lens through which to understand India's growing influence on global politics, music and culture; with a special focus on the success of "Slumdog Millionaire" and its relevance to where Indian cinema and India is going.
