What's special about the pipe organ at Saint Mary's College?

The pipe organ in the Saint Mary's College Chapel is an outstanding example of the art of organ building, combining 150 years of labor by three renowned American pipe organ manufacturers. The instrument combines original pipe work and a classic façade from 1859 with pipe work from 1901 and modern digital control systems completed in the year 2000. The beautiful, Italianate chapel (1929), with excellent acoustics for organ and choral music, completes a nearly perfect setting for enjoying organ music from around the world.
