What: Saint Mary's College of California invites the public to a afternoon of socializing, a silent auction and wine tasting from more than two dozen California wineries at the College's 5th Annual Summer Wine Festival.

Proceeds from ticket sales, wine orders and the silent auction will support student scholarships at Saint Mary's. Attendees can treat their taste buds to an assortment of rich red wines and lively whites from regional wineries, including:

When: Sunday, August 16, 2009, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Where: Saint Mary's College of California, Soda Activity Center, 1928 St. Mary's Road, Moraga, Calif. 94556

Cost: Tickets: $25 until July 31, $30 after, VIP Tickets: $40. Includes private tasting from 1-2 p.m. of Old Vine Zinfandels selected by an expert panel of vintners and the main event from 2-5 p.m.
