The death of Saint Mary's College student Kathleen "Katie" Springer was the subject of an article in the Napa Valley Register.

Katie, 20, died Friday night, Oct. 29, at John Muir Hospital in Walnut Creek from injuries she suffered in a head-on collision earlier that night on Highway 160.

At the time of her death, Katie was a junior at Saint Mary's College majoring in religious studies.
