Hisham Ahmed, who recently joined the politics faculty at Saint Mary's College, was profiled in an article in the Contra Costa Times. The story described how Ahmed was born blind in a West Bank refugee camp, earned degrees at U.S. universities and became an objective observer of the Middle East, including writing the first English-language book about Palestine's Hamas political party.
