Army ROTC Scholarship Program

Deadline: Open
ROTC awards scholarships to hundreds of students, regardless of families' financial status. Based solely on merit, these scholarships pay up to $68,000 for tuition and fees. Each scholarship also includes an annual book allowance and a stipend of up to $4,000 a year.

Sallie Mae Fund Scholarship - 911 Education Fund

Deadline: Open
Awards up to $2500. The Sallie Mae 911 Education Fund was created in response to the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. The scholarship program is open to children of those who were killed or permanently disabled as a result of the terrorist attacks, and who are enrolled as full-time, undergraduate students. Awards may be renewed on an annual basis, subject to satisfactory academic progress.

CleanEdison's Annual Essay Contest

CleanEdison is looking for a bright young scholar to write a 750 word essay on the growth of the clean energy and energy efficiency sectors, the effects this will have on job creation and the need for skills training to meet this demand. The essays will be evaluated on the quality of writing and depth of research on the topic. The Government Finance Officers Association created the Minorities in Government Finance Scholarship to recognize and encourage outstanding minority students enrolled in a course of study preparing for a career in state or local government finance. The competition is for upper-division undergraduate or graduate level students.

The Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) executive board created the Frank L. Greathouse Government Accounting Scholarship to recognize undergraduate accounting students and to encourage careers in state and local government. The competition is for undergraduate and graduate students who are enrolled full-time in a university or college preparing a career in state and local government finance. Undergraduate students must be in the process of completing at least their junior year by the time the scholarship is awarded.

Daniel B. Goldberg Scholarship

The Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) executive board created the Daniel B. Goldberg Scholarship to recognize outstanding performances by graduate program students preparing for a career in state and local government finance. The scholarship is for students who are enrolled full-time in a graduate program. eligible students should expect to be enrolled in the 2013 Spring term (including Spring 2013 graduates). California Strawberry Scholarship

To be eligible for the California Strawberry Scholarship, applicants must be children of strawberry farm workers. Scholarships are available for full-time enrollment at a college, university, community college, or accredited trade school. Scholarship awards start at $400 and can be renewed annually. Funding is available for graduating high school seniors and students already attending college, including advanced degrees (master's or doctorate degrees), or professional certification (teaching credential, etc.).

Each year Women Health Care Executives of Northern California (WHCE) offers the Lynn Adamson Memorial Scholarship to a female graduate level student majoring in public health, health care, public policy, or the health sciences.
