A t the School of Economics and Business Administration (SEBA), “Think Globally, Lead Responsibly” summarizes our School’s mission to develop and prepare managers and leaders for the 21st century. We emphasize that students consider global contexts and ethical, economic, social, and environmental values, as they understand, analyze and decide on business and economic issues.
“Think Globally, Lead Responsibly” intrinsically originates from the Catholic, Lasallian and Liberal Art traditions and social justice mission of Saint Mary’s College. It inherently reflects the San Francisco Bay Area communities, which are deeply connected internationally and lead the world with socially responsible initiatives. It is squarely built upon our distinctive capability and success in teaching and researching global and responsible business and economic issues. It sets us apart from competing institutions of higher education.
The Catholic, Lasallian and Liberal Art traditions of our College also call for educating the whole person (student) intellectually, personally, and professionally. We aim to educate students to be critical thinkers, problem-solvers and thoughtful communicators. Our curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular programs enrich students’ development and personal lives. Our Career Gateway and Professional Development programs are designed to prepare students for success beyond their academic studies.
I hope that you would share our mission and educational approaches and join us to develop our students as the whole person and change the world for the better!
