July 12, 2012. HSBC, one of the world's largest banking and financial services organizations, is partnering with SEBA in developing responsible business leaders.
HSBC is a highly recognized institution in the world for its sustainability initiatives and accomplishments. It has designed and implemented the well-known HSBC Sustainability Leadership Programs for its senior managers, together with strategic partners, such as Earthwatch Institute.
Since the Saint Mary’s School of Economics and Business Administration (SEBA)’s strategic direction is to develop responsible business leaders, HSBC and SEBA have recently established a partnership. HSBC is inviting one SEBA faculty member per year to participate in its Sustainability Leadership Programs.
Zha n Li, Dean of SEBA, explains: “This is a mutually beneficial opportunity. HSBC can contribute to business education by sharing its best practices with faculty, who will shape the perspectives of future business leaders. Participating SEBA faculty will bring Catholic and Lasallian perspectives into the corporate program, which could enrich the learning of HSBC’s senior managers. SEBA faculty participants can incorporate their HSBC sustainability experience and learning into research agenda, classroom teaching and curricular designs.
