Saint Mary’s School of Economics and Business Administration (SEBA) professor Michael Hadani has been asked to guest edit the September issue of Business and Society. Hadani, a professor of management, will be co-editing a special issue concerning the governance and ethical ramifications of firms' corporate political activity.
Hadani’s expertise was requested as a result of a career of research concerned with the complex interaction between firms and government decision makers. A piece co-written with Susan Coombs titled “Corporate philanthropy and corporate political activity: Complementary dynamics in a competitive context” was published by Business and Society earlier in 2013. Professor Hadani has also published work in Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of Business Research, and Social Justice Research. In 2010, Hadani spoke at the Fourth International Colloquium on Corporate Political Activity, and he has presented at the Academy of Management Conference and the International Association for Business and Society on several occasions.
