San Francisco Chronicle columnist Jon Carroll featured comments from SEBA professor Bill Lee about the possible economic benefits San Francisco would gain from hosting the 2024 Summer Olympics. In a letter to Carroll about the U.S. Olympic Committee's outreach to SF about hosting the games, Lee argues that cities which host big ticket sporting events, like the summer games, don't always benefit from the experience. Lee teaches a course on the economics of sports at the College and is the chair of Saint Mary's economics department. Read Jon Carroll's column.
