1:00pm (Community Time): Liturgy of the Word with Distribution of Ashes This will be a celebration of the Word of God featuring the presentation of the Candidates in our SMC community for the Sacraments of Initiation and the imposition of ashes.
5:15pm: Mass with the SMC Brothers Community with Distribution of Ashes.
Staff Council will meet at 12pm on March 13th in Claeys Lounge in the Soda Center. From 12-1:00 p.m., Bright Horizons, an independent consultant, will present the findings from the study they conducted on campus last year regarding the needs of staff and faculty for dependent care.

Saint Giles Episcopal Church which worships in the SMC chapel Sunday mornings at 9:00am. As February is African American History Month, this next Sunday, February 23rd, Saint Giles will hold an African American History Recognition Mass wherein the service will draw from music from the African American traditions and a reading from the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr will be included with the scripture readings. No matter who you are or where you are on your spiritual journey, you are welcome at Saint Giles.
Beginning February 10 through March 26, Saint Mary’s College will be participating in the Nationwide Recycle Mania Tournament to increase campus recycling. You will have a chance to participate by recycling old files, papers, anything recyclable in a truck marked with a blue RECYCLE MANIA logo every Wednesday through March 19 from 10:00 am – 11:30 am. For the truck location on various dates, go here. Whatever is collected by 11:30 am will be taken to the recycle dumpster.
Room Selection Process for the 2014-2015 Academic Year
The annual room selection process is upon us again. Room selection is comprised of a number of different phases through which eligible students will have the opportunity reserve housing for the 2014-2015 academic year.
Dr. Eric Hollas. O.S.B. will speak on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 7:30 - 9 p.m. in LeFevre Theatre. This event is presented in conjunction with "Illuminating the Divine Word Anew: The Heritage Edition of the Saint John's Bible," an exhitit on view in the Saint Mary's College Museum of Art through April 6, 2014.
