Saint Mary's College will host the California Forum for Diversity in Graduate Education on Saturday, October 26, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Universities and graduate programs offering academic master's and/or Ph.D. degrees from throughout the United States will participate in a recruitment fair from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in Ferroggiaro Quad.

Flanagin Publishes Bible DVD Series

Associate Professor Zach Flanagin's latest DVD lecture series is available from Now You Know Media. The series of 24 lectures, called "The Bible through the Ages," reviews over two millennia of biblical interpretation, exploring the most important ways people have read the Bible in ancient history and in modern times. Improvements in SMC "Digital Plant"

Chief Technology Officer Peter Greco provides a brief update on progress in efforts to enhance the SMC "digital plant." Among the highlights in the past year are the construction of a stable WiFi network in the residence halls; the creation of a fault-tolerant Internet gateway; the migration of faculty and staff email to Gmail; the removal and replacement of dozens of failing devices from our network; the resolution of a myriad of network routing problems that held up network traffic; and the replacement of some of the fiber optic cable that had caused an undue amount of gridlock.  Most exc

Professor Rebecca Proehl was awarded a 2013 Faculty Fellowship Grant to support her research project entitled Catalyst Schools: A Faith Inspired Public School Option. Catalyst schools are nonsectarian public schools that embody Lasallian principles.
