SOFIA: Journal of Teaching, Learning and Literacy

SOFIA offers a new, online forum for innovations in the scholarship of teaching and learning. Sofia is also a place where educators can share advances in the study and of the study, teaching and implications of visual literacy. Since its inception as a discipline in the late 1960s, visual literacy has expanded as a pedagogical approach and has been embraced by educators in a wide variety of academic fields (including art history, computer science, law, linguistics, medicine, and psychology.) The peer-reviewed journal welcomes theoretical and historical writings, interviews with educators, case studies, book reviews and explorations in new classroom practices.
