Cultural Nights
The Cultural Nights take place every spring semester to celebrate the history and customs of four traditionally marginalized communities. These student-driven performances include Asian Cultural Night, The Bash, Expressions of Blackness, and Latino Cultural Night. They provide students the wonderful opportunity to express their unique culture through food, dance, spoken word, skits, and other creative media.
Beyond just offering food and entertainment, the student performers often address major issues relevant to their demographic in the hopes of educating the campus-at-large about their unique characteristics and upbringing. The objective is to provide insight on the various cultures that make up the Saint Mary’s community, both their differences and their commonalities.
