diversity Student Organizations
The Delphine Intercultural Center works very closely with the 11 diversity student organizations at Saint Mary’s College. Several times throughout the academic year, many of these groups come together for various events, including the Diversity Dance and the Diversity Retreat. They have also formed the Diversity Club Coalition (DCC) in order to encourage collaboration and strengthen their presence on campus.
Asian Pacific American Student Association (APASA)
APASA fosters a strong sense of community among Asian Pacific American students and their peers, and provides an opportunity to learn about various Asian cultures through meetings, community service opportunities, and special events.

Black Student Union (BSU)
BSU enhances the experience of black students by holding frequent meetings, sponsoring social events, and hosting guest speakers to explore issues in education, politics, history, economics, and culture affecting the African American community.

Humans Actively Practicing Aloha (HAPA)
HAPA creates a welcoming environment for Hawaiian students, while teaching and sharing the traditions of the indigenous people in Hawaii.

Gay Straight Alliance (GSA)
GSA is an Associated Students club that plans social, educational and cultural activities for the benefit of their members and the whole campus. All students are welcome to participate.

German Club
The club’s goal is to bring students together through the common interest of all things German! The German Club aims to highlight modern Germany and to dispel misconceptions and stereotypes. You don’t have to be German, speak German, or even know anything about Germany to join.

Hermanas Unidas (HaU)
HaU’s purpose is to reach out to the Chicana(o)/Latina(o) community and to provide resources as well as a familial networking system by establishing a solid foundation of Hermandad. The group creates an environment for students to come together and be themselves and educate our Hermana community about issues that affect women with the goal of creating a positive change.

International Club
The club promotes understanding and communication among students and the community through social and educational activities. Members participate in many activities including an international fair where students join together to share food, music, and dance from many cultures around the world.

The “J Pop” club raises awareness of the Japanese culture. Activities stress gaining knowledge of a culture that has had a growing influence on American society.
