Our Mission
The Intercultural Center strives to create a safe and supportive learning environment that embraces diversity and fosters an inclusive community. We are committed to educating the campus about multicultural competence, identity development, and social justice. Our co-curricular programs and support services are designed to explore the broad definition of culture and affirm the human worth of all individuals.
Our Goals
- To develop and implement programs and services which celebrate diversity and enhance the curriculum.
- To examine and deconstruct power, privilege, and systematic oppression.
- To advocate for and empower traditionally marginalized groups.
- To recognize the existence of multiple identities and “isms”.
- To build connections between various communities based on an appreciation for difference and a recognition of commonalities.
