The Center for International Programs (CIP) is located on the first floor of Brother Jerome West and welcomes all Saint Mary's students to visit. The Center staff are ready to assist you with questions about study abroad, international student visas, insurance coverage, International Club membership, Global Living and Learning Community placement and much more. Stop by and visit us soon. The CIP staff is ready to help you in a variety of ways.
The Center is the home for international students at Saint Mary's and is the first stop that international student make on campus. CIP staff assist students with a variety of needs including immigration and visa advisement, academic advisement, and adjustment to campus life. The CIP provides an interactive orientation program, academic counseling, tutorial services, and social and intercultural communication programs. As home for the SMC International Club, the Center is the place to gather and meet students from a number of countries.
The International Club is one of the largest and most active clubs on campus, promotes international understanding and cultural awareness on the campus. Funded by the Associated Students of Saint Mary's, the club has an elected leadership of students from different nations and is open to any student at Saint Mary's. In addition to sponsoring a number of social and cultural events, the International Club provides a forum for discussion of issues of concern.
