international student retreat
Each year at midterm the Center for International Programs takes approximately 45 international students to the Russian River, 2 hours north of campus. The international student retreat is a weekend away from campus where students and staff can discuss culture shock, homesickness and have fun. We stay at the Christian Brothers St. Joseph's Camp, sleep in cabins, take turns cooking meals throughout the weekend and take short trips to see the Pacific Ocean and a nearby redwood grove. In the past students have enjoyed the variety of games located at the Camp, including ping-pong, pool, karaoke, board games and have often watched movies and reflected on their time at Saint Mary’s.
