New Graduate students should be admitted and accepted into a Graduate program before the housing application can be started.

Once admitted and accepted, any graduate student new to Saint Mary’s College may start the application process, which will open by the end of March.

All graduate students must complete three required steps:

  • Contact the Campus Housing Office to be put on the Housing Waitlist as soon as possible.
  • Pay the $350 Housing Deposit to the Business Office by 4:30 pm on May 1st.
  • Complete and return the Residence Hall and Dining Services License to the Campus Housing Office by mail, fax, email or in person by July 1st.

There are a limited number of spaces available for graduate students in College housing. We do not offer family housing. On-campus housing for graduate students is for the academic year.

Graduate students are assigned to a suite in Ageno C (Ferdinand & Camille). The suite is two-bedroom, one-bathroom units and is designed to accommodate four students. If availability permits, a bedroom may be requested as a single for an additional cost.

Graduate housing is awarded to students on a first-come, first-served basis. Current graduate students have priority to graduate housing for the following year and are contacted by the Campus Housing Office by the end of March regarding how to apply.

Undergraduate students may also be placed with graduate students if the designated undergraduate housing is full.

Off-Campus

If one finds off-campus housing or decides not to live on campus for the Fall or Spring Semester, please advise the Campus Housing Office immediately. For further assistance, Campus Housing Office publishes an Off-Campus Housing List that is available to the Saint Mary’s College community.  In addition opportunities are posted by individuals in the Classifieds section for Housing via the Brickpile Discussion Board on the front page of SMCnet.

Summer Housing

Summer housing is also available on-campus, which provides graduate students with an opportunity for a year round living environment.
