Saint Mary's College Of California

International Students

Your successful transition to Saint Mary’s begins with Orientation and continues through the academic year.  The following information will help you in your transition.

Orientation

International students are required to arrive on campus and move into their residence halls on Sunday, August 24, 2008 between 9am-12pm for the fall term.  All international students and their families are invited to join us for a welcome dinner that evening.

To start the Saint Mary's experience, International Student Pre-Orientation on August 25-26 will help you learn about the American classroom, gain information about immigration rules and regulations, and become acquainted with the surrounding community and life in the United States. On August 27, you will attend Orientation Session IV in order to meet with an academic advisor and register for fall semester courses.

Prior to Orientation, international students should review the pre-departure and arrival information, read up on our academic requirements, and submit your medical evaluation form and health insurance information (www.chickering.com).

Weekend of Welcome

From August 28-September 1, you will participate in Weekend of Welcome activities to help get you acclimated and meet other new students prior to classes starting.
