Maisha Beasley
Director of New Student & Family Programs
A graduate from San Diego State University, Maisha moved on to receive her Master's of Educational Administration with emphasis in student affairs from the University of the Pacific. Following her graduate work, she coordinated and eventually directed Pacific's Office of New Student Programs and student ambassador program. Maisha is pleased to be part of the SMC community where service and respect are core principles that are displayed throughout the campus. In her new position she will oversee the student Orientation Leader staff and develop new student and parent Orientation schedules. She will also play a big role in the campus-wide FYE (First Year Experience) program. Sara Linton
Coordinator of New Student & Family Programs
Sara is responsible for overseeing parent and family involvement with the college including Parent Orientation, the Parent and Family Association and family publications in order to promote parent partnership with the College community. She will also assist with the development of the Weekend of Welcome program, including the selection and training of Weekend of Welcome Leaders. Sara has a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Delaware where she worked with the Office of Admissions as a Blue Hen Ambassador, and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in counseling with a focus on college student services at Saint Mary’s.
