weekend of welcome
Weekend of Welcome, the kick off of every academic year, is an action-packed weekend of activities designed to welcome you to Saint Mary's and get you started on the right foot. All incoming students, including first year and transfer students, are to attend the classes, speakers and events that are planned Thursday, August 26 through Sunday, August 29, 2010. Don't worry, you'll have plenty of time over the weekend to settle in and buy the materials you need before classes officially begin on Monday, August 30!
Freshmen will attend a mandatory Collegiate Seminar class during Weekend of Welcome so be sure to complete the reading given to you at Orientation .
Living on Campus
New students living on campus during the fall term need to arrive to your Residence Hall between 9am-12pm on Thursday, August 26, 2010. Students attending Orientation IV, on Wednesday, August 25, arrive on campus on Tuesday, August 24, 2010.
Parents & Families
Families of new Gaels are welcome to attend the events held throughout the Weekend of Welcome. We hope to see you at the Welcome Mass and Farewell BBQ. At the end of the day you will say goodbye to your students (they will spend the rest of the weekend bonding with new classmates) so don't forget the tissues!
