Jennifer Herzog began as Director of New Student & Family Programs in April, 2012. She comes to Saint Mary's with over ten years of experience in Higher Education in the areas of Student Involvement and Leadership, Campus Programming and Orientation. Jennifer received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale and Masters of Education from DePaul University. She is excited to be a part of the Saint Mary's community and looks forward to welcoming new students and their families into the SMC family.

Ann Clay, Administrative Assistant, began her career at Saint Mary’s in 2005 working in Student Life’s Campus Housing/Community Life Offices, and the Residential Experience Office. Now working in the Office of New Student and Family Programs, her task is to assist the office in providing students and families with information and resources to help make their registration and orientation experience an informative and memorable one.

Cathryn Dalton (Millbrae, CA) is a Junior majoring in History with a minor in Politics, hoping one day to pursue a career in law. She is involved with the Peer Council and Peer Health Exchange. Her favorite part about Saint Mary's is the tight-knit closeness of the student body, and she is excited to welcome new students into our history and to show them what Saint Mary’s is all about! |

Crystal Gutierrez (Palm Desert, CA) is a Junior at Saint Mary's as a Psychology major. She enjoys hiking, reading, and spending time with her mom and her cat. As a former Weekend of Welcome Leader, Crystal is extremely excited to become part of Orientation and help new students become acclimated and enthusiastic about life as a Saint Mary's student! |

Jessica Miller (Sacramento, CA) is a Junior at Saint Mary's majoring in Psychology with an emphasis on child and adolescent development. She is involved on campus as the Programming Coordinator for the Residence Hall Association and an Orientation Coordinator in the office of New Student and Family Programs. Outside of school, she enjoys exploring the Bay Area and being a nanny. She loves Saint Mary’s inclusive community and all of the resources and opportunities the campus provides. As a past Orientation Leader and Weekend of Welcome Leader, Jessica is excited to welcome all of the new Gaels to Saint Mary's College!!

Ariana Alvarez (Sophomore, Clayton, CA) is a Sociology major and Women and Gender Studies minor. She is actively involved on campus as a Student Ambassador, member of Hermanas Unidas, student representative for the College Committee of Inclusive Excellence, in addition to various other activities. She enjoys thrift store shopping, going to cafes, traveling, watching movies, going to concerts, reading, and spending time with family and friends. She loves Saint Mary’s and is very excited to welcome students into the Saint Mary’s family!

Kay Andres (Sophomore, San Bruno, CA) is currently majoring Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship and a minor in Accounting. She is actively involved on campus with the Asian Pacific American Student Association and Jumpstart, a program that works with childhood education. She loves listening to music, shopping, and keeping up with SMC Athletics. She is most excited about meeting all of the incoming students and helping them fall in love with Saint Mary's just as much as she has!

Ashley Carroll (Freshman, Redondo Beach, CA) is a freshman at Saint Mary's as an Economy major with a Mathematics minor. She is a Peer Health Educator and teaches health classes to freshmen in high schools around the bay area. She loves reading and playing tennis in any spare time she has. She is most excited about being an Orientation Leader because it'll enable her to be more involved in the Saint Mary's community she loves so much. She is excited to welcome the new students to Saint Mary's beautiful campus!

Mareme Diakhate (Junior, Oakland, CA) is currently a Junior majoring in Chemistry. She is involved in the Black Student Union, St. Luke’s Premed Society, and a Corps Member at Jumpstart. During her spare time she likes to relax and chat with friends and family. What excites her the most as an Orientation Leader, is meeting incoming students and parents and sharing her college experiences with them! She is very excited to be back for the third time as an Orientation Leader and is looking forward to meeting the newest Gaels!

Hayley Fernandez (Freshman, Gilroy, CA) is a freshman majoring in nursing. She enjoys dancing, listening to music, and shopping. She is beyond excited to take on her first year as an Orientation Leader and hopes to see new students fall in love with SMC just like she did!

Jazmin Terese Guinto (Sophomore, South San Francisco, CA) is a second year student at Saint Mary's as a business major, psychology minor. She loves being involved in the school and is currently on the Gael Force Executive Team, the Student Rank and Tenure Committee, and works as an Intern in the Admissions Office. She's really excited to meet all of the new students and hopes they'll love SMC as much as she does!

Megan Howell (Freshman, Napa, CA) is a first year student with a Liberal and Civics Studies major on the Teachers for Tomorrow Track. She also minors in Theology and Religious Studies. She enjoy crafts, visiting her elementary school and spending time with friends and family. As a graduate of a Lasallian High School, she loves the mission of St. Jean Baptist De LaSalle and the tight knit community that Saint Mary’s is known for. She is so excited to meet all the future Gaels!

Ena Jezildzic (Junior, Sacramento, CA) is a junior majoring in Business Administration with a minor in Communication. She enjoys reading and being with friends and family. She chose SMC for its close knit community and prestigious academic curriculum. On campus, she is involved as a member of the Residence Hall Association and an intern at the Admissions Office. Last year she thoroughly enjoyed her experience as an Orientation and Weekend of Welcome Leader, and is excited to once again help the new students settle in and start their new lives as Gaels!

Mike Jones (Sophomore, Laguna Beach, CA) is currently a sophomore and plans on majoring in Psychology with a minor in Philosophy. He is involved on campus as well as in the community through the Saint Mary’s club volleyball team and the after school program at Del Rey Elementary school. In his spare time he loves to play basketball, volleyball, and take long walks on the beach. As a returning Orientation Leader, he is even more excited to continue helping new students make a home here at SMC!

Mike Leland (Freshman, Manteca, CA) is currently a freshman studying Bio-Chemistry. In his spare time he enjoys playing intramural sports at St. Mary’s and spending time with family and friends. He is a huge sports fan and loves attending games and cheering for Saint Mary's in the Gael Force rooting section. He is thrilled to welcome the new and outstanding class of 2017 to Saint Mary’s College of California!

Andrew Lemmon (Freshman, El Sobrante, CA) is a Communication major in his first year, with a minor in making friends! He loves spending time hanging out with friends, staying active, and making music. He cannot wait to help the incoming students and grow friendships with all the newest Gaels. He is positive that the open and loving community environment at Saint Mary's will be a good experience for everyone!

Aracely Maravilla (Freshman, Santa Monica, CA) is in her first year at Saint Mary's and is majoring in the Integral Program. When she manages to have some spare time, she loves reading and listening to music. She also loves singing but would rather not subject those around her to her unique singing abilities. She is extremely excited to help the new students become familiar with the campus and learn to love it as much as she does. Saint Mary's is a close-knit, family type of community and she's excited to show incoming students the amazing school they've chosen!

Tiana McCoy (Freshman, Pittsburg, CA) is currently a Nursing Major at Saint Mary’s and is IN LOVE with it. She is involved on campus through Peer Health Education and is looking forward to being more involved with the Black Student Union. Coming to Saint Mary’s is something she considers to be a wonderful blessing and she is excited to share all of the wonderful experiences she's had here with the incoming Gaels and help them become accustomed to this gorgeous campus!

Diego J. Ríos (Freshman, San Jose, CA) is currently a first year student and is loving every second of it! He is the Freshman Class President and enjoys being involved with ASSMC (Associated Students of Saint Mary’s College). He plays soccer and volleyball for the club teams which keeps him busy and fit! He is pursuing a double major in Business Administration and Communication with a self declared third major in happiness :). As an Orientation Leader, he is ready to support and inspire incoming students to take advantage of every opportunity presented to them and do it with the right attitude!

Elio Rojas (Sophomore, Gustine, CA) is a sophomore Business Administration major with a minor in Psychology. He is an active member of Jumpstart, the High Potential program and Club Volleyball. Outside of school he likes to go on adventures, socialize with friends and play volleyball and tennis. He loves Saint Mary’s inclusive community and welcoming atmosphere. As a returning Orientation and Weekend of Welcome Leader he is super excited to welcome the incoming freshman to the one and only GAEL family!

Anna Santos (Freshman, Hayward, CA) is a Kinesiology and Dance double major. On campus, she is involved with APASA, the SMC Dance Company, and the ACN Executive Team. In her free time, she enjoys broadening her taste in music and spending time with friends. Anna is estatic about meeting the Class of 2017 and helping them transition to Saint Marys. She knew Saint Mary's was the choice for her when she noticed how welcoing the close-knit commmunity was toward her - she hopes the incoming freshmen feel just as welcomed and included! |

Bobby Stevens (Junior, Concord, CA) is a junior majoring in Politics. He is involved in campus activities such as intramurals, event staff, and Orientation. Outside of school, he enjoys volunteering at St. Anthony’s in San Francisco, playing basketball, and spending time with friends. He enjoys campus life at Saint Mary’s and all of the friends he has made during his three years here. As a returning Orientation Leader, he is very excited to welcome this incoming class and help them throughout their Saint Mary’s experience!

Megan Verrips (Junior, Moraga, CA) is currently in her third year as a Business major with a concentration in marketing. She was raised in the Moraga area and knows all of the local hot spots. She enjoys running and hiking on the nearby trails as well as meeting new people! She is very excited to welcome the new students to the place she calls her second home!
