"Leadership Take Out” is an exciting program offered to campus groups at Saint Mary’s College. Any organization on campus may request a workshop “to go.”
Workshop content will be tailored to the individual needs of your group. Participants will leave workshops with leadership tools they can use. All workshops are free of charge.
Follow these simple steps to order your Leadership Take Out:
- Review the list and select a workshop that meets your needs.
- Complete the order form and return it to SIL.
- Wait for the workshop leader to contact you about your request.
- Enjoy!
Some workshops include:
Team building - Learn strategies for how to create and maintain a strong team -- a crucial ingredient for running an organization.
Setting and Achieving Goals - Discover the value of setting goals and simple strategies for achieving them.
Effective Meetings - Meetings hold an organization together. Learn how to smoothly run a group and facilitate great meetings.
Recruitment and Retention - Find out how to effectively recruit new members and learn what keeps members coming back to an organization.
Motivation - Not getting things done? Get new ideas for how to motivate members of your organization.
Personality Styles - Assess the different personalities that make up your organization and learn how to balance them.
Communication - Communication is key! Develop your skills for better communication among group members.
Time Management - Find out about techniques that will help you manage your time and keep tasks in order.
Leadership Styles - Everyone has a different way of leading. Determine the style of your members and use them to your organization’s advantage.
Conflict Management - Conflict is bound to happen so learn how to effectively address and manage conflicts that arise.
Problem Solving - No two problems are alike. We’ll introduce you to techniques that will help you solve problems effectively and creatively.
Stress Management - Don’t worry! Discover and practice techniques that will address the stress in your life.
Change and Transition - Is your group’s leadership ready for next year? Identify causes and effects of change, along with skills to manage change in your organization.
