The Collegian
Saint Mary's College is home to the weekly newspaper: The Collegian. This student run publication, first issued in 1903, is distributed weekly on the Saint Mary's College campus. Includes news articles concerning issues and current events that are of interest to the SMC community. The Collegian also contains local arts and entertainment reviews, sports information, features on public affairs, human interest stories and editorials. This independent college newspaper depends on the hard work and dedication of the student reporters, photographers, managers and editors to create every issue. These journalists work together with SMC educators who encourage the student's skills and interests in putting together the well respected medium. Saint Mary's students of any major or of any class standing are encouraged to help participate in the production of the paper, regardless of their experience in journalism and/or future career plans. The Collegian continues to be a hallmark in the Saint Mary's tradition of excellence and integrity.
