Sexual assault and dating violence are, unfortunately, not uncommon on college campuses across this country. If you or someone you know has been affected by sexual assault or violence, the Sexual Assault Crisis Response Team can be reached at 878-9207 24 hours a day/7 days a week during the regular academic year. The Sexual Assault Awareness Coordinator and the WRC Director are also here to assist you through difficult times. They offer support, information, and referrals in the Saint Mary's community as well as a safe space at the WRC.
Sexual Assault Crisis Response Team Announcement
At Saint Mary’s College of California, a student who is seeking information and resources about sexual assault or relationship violence can do so anonymously through the Sexual Assault Anonymous Hotline. This line is intended to provide support for a student who may be a survivor of sexual assault, is a peer to a student who is a survivor or is simply seeking information, in an anonymous way, about the options for a survivor. A Saint Mary’s student has multiple ways of accessing support and response from the College. The anonymous hotline is unique in that it offers a way to have the options presented to the student without requiring that the student provide any identifying information to the College or launching the disciplinary process of the College unintentionally. This anonymity provides the student with greater control over what options, if any, the student chooses. If the student caller does not want to initiate a disciplinary process until they have all the information before them, the hotline can provide them with that space to process the information while understanding the outcomes of the choices that they might make in coming forward. First and foremost, the hotline offers to our students compassionate support, relevant information, and immediate access to information regarding resources for students who have experienced a sexual assault.
