Boston Review Magazine Highlights Brenda Hillman's New Book

Boston Review, a bi-monthly magazine about literature and politics, features a review of Brenda Hillman's new book of poetry Seasonal Works with Letters on Fire, the fourth book in the Saint Mary's English professor's poetry series about the four elements.

Napa Valley Register Covers Reading by Brenda Hillman and Robert Hass

The Napa Valley Register article "Two poets, one couple, to read their works in St. Helena," features interviews with Saint Mary's English professor and celebrated poet Brenda Hillman and her husband, and noted former U..S Poet laureate, Robert Hass about their upcoming poetry reading at in the Napa Valley area.  The renown literary couple will read selections from their works and sign books. Known worldwide for its viniculture, the area is also the location for the Napa Valley Writers Conference, which has presented both poets over the years. The reading, on Thursday, Dec. 19 at 7p.m.

Brenda Hillman Named to 2013 National Book Award Longlist for Poetry

Saint Mary's English Professor Brenda Hillman has been named to the Longlist for the 2013 National Book Award for Poetry. Hillman was nominated for the prestigious prize for her latest collection of poetry Seasonal Works with Letters on Fire,  which was published in August by Wesleyan University Press.
