About our speaker:  Dr. Diana Gibson is an ordained Presbyterian minister who served 25 years as parish pastor before shifting her career to the awesome task of teaching. She received her Doctorate of Ministry at Columbia Theological Seminary where she studied with biblical theologian Walter Brueggemann. The topic of her doctoral work was “Nurturing Disciplines for Revolutionary Christians.” Her areas of study and passion include liberation theology, biblical theology, human rights, peace studies, feminist theology and ethics.

Catalina Torres Night to Remember

Each October the WRC, Hermanas Unidas and partners across campus come together to honor the life of Alumnus Catalina Torres. Torres was a DV survivor, who dedicated much of her life to helping other women overcome DV, until she was tragically killed in a DV incident. The event takes place in  conjunction with Domestic/Dating Violence Awareness Month. Join us for an evening of story telling, spoken word performances, songs and a walk around campus in honor of the life of Catalina Torres and the many other women and men whose lives have been taken or impacted by violence.

Great American Smokeout
