SLICE is a two-semester independent study program of academic distinction. Juniors or seniors in SLICE study issues of leadership, justice or equity in their major or minor discipline and put their knowledge to use through the creation of a project that addresses an issue and meets a need in the community. Spend 24 hours learning about human trafficking and poverty in the Bay Area and beyond. Students will learn from people who are fighting this issue locally and globally. Students will also engage in community service with a youth program as a part of this immersion.
