Museum to Open New Exhibits

On July 12, the Museum will open two new exhibits: Bright and Beautiful: Early San Francisco Bay Area Watercolors featuring the Roger and Kathy Carter Collection & Stephen Joseph: Inside Vasco Caves. Come check it out! After July 12, the Museum will be open for its normal business hours, 11:00 AM- 4:30 PM, Wednesday through Sunday.

Statue Cleaning and Maintenance - Saint John Baptist de la Salle

Dear Community - our beloved statue will receive routine cleaning and maintenace.  On Tuesday, scaffold will be installed.  On Wednesday, June 24, the Statue will be cleaned, refinished and waxed.  The work is expected to complete this week.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call facility services - 4286  Thank you!

Ron Turner Retirement Reception

After 32 years at Saint Mary's College, former alumni director, major gift fundraiser and friend to all Gaels, Ron Turner '79, will be retiring. In celebration of Ron's illustrious career and many achievements, Saint Mary's College will host a reception on campus on June 26, 2015, from 2:30-4:30 p.m. in the atrium of Br. Albert Brousseau Hall. We welcome all who wish to join Ron as he embarks on the next stage of his life.

Danae Mattes Opening

The Museum is pleased to announce the opening of Danae Mattes' exhibition River Passage, this Sunday at 2 PM with a reception to follow on the patio. This exhibit will remain open through September 6. 

Bay Area artist Danae Mattes creates abstract, mixed media wall and floor objects using clay, paper and pigment, activated by water, which symbolically flows through all aspects of her life and art. 

Some Praise for the "V" -- Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Expansion

In 2014, IT Services launched a pilot installation of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) in two classrooms in Garaventa Hall that contain dozens of student computer workstations.  The “V” in VDI will allow the College a considerably more effective investment in what we know of today as desktop computing, largely through efficiency in IT service and support.  There is also the potential, over years of time, for reduced funding needs with respect to the many desktop computers that the College currently deploys for student use, as well as for faculty use in classrooms and offices.  Also, the
